About these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply when you:

  • Browse or use our website;
  • Create an account;
  • Purchase products from us;
  • Contact us or submit information through our website; or
  • Use any other service we make available through the website.

Please read these terms carefully before placing an order.

By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. You should save or print a copy for your records.

Nothing in these terms affects any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Who may place an order

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order.

By ordering from us, you confirm that:

  • The information supplied during checkout is complete and accurate;
  • You are authorised to use the chosen payment method; and
  • You are purchasing products for lawful purposes.

These terms are primarily intended for consumers purchasing wholly or mainly for personal use.

For orders placed wholly or mainly for business purposes, contact us before ordering because separate business terms may apply.

Products, Smart Features and Compatibility

Product information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, images, measurements, specifications and prices are accurate.

However:

  • Screen colours and brightness may affect how a product appears;
  • Product packaging may differ from images shown;
  • Minor cosmetic or manufacturing variations may occur;
  • Measurements are approximate unless expressly stated otherwise; and
  • Manufacturers or suppliers may make minor improvements that do not materially reduce the product’s functionality.

The product supplied must still correspond materially with its description.

Images showing products installed in homes may be illustrative. Customers should review the product photographs, measurements, technical specifications and “What’s in the Box” information before purchasing.

Smart-device functionality

Our products may include or support features such as:

  • Facial recognition;
  • Fingerprint access;
  • Passcodes or access cards;
  • Physical-key access;
  • Live video;
  • Motion alerts;
  • Two-way audio;
  • Remote access;
  • Mobile-app control;
  • Local or cloud storage; and
  • Integration with third-party services.

Available features vary by model. Only rely on features expressly stated on the relevant product page.

Some functions may require:

  • A compatible smartphone or tablet;
  • A compatible application;
  • Bluetooth or Wi-Fi;
  • A reliable internet connection;
  • Permission settings on your device;
  • Firmware or application updates;
  • A third-party account; or
  • A paid third-party subscription.

Where a third-party application or service is involved, its availability may also be governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

Temporary interruptions caused by internet failure, mobile-network failure, maintenance or third-party services may affect remote features. This does not exclude your legal rights where the product itself is faulty, incorrectly described or unsuitable for its stated purpose.

Product compatibility

You are responsible for checking the published product requirements before ordering.

For smart locks, relevant considerations may include:

  • Door material;
  • Door thickness;
  • Opening direction;
  • Existing lock type and dimensions;
  • Handle and cylinder position;
  • Available installation space; and
  • Indoor or outdoor exposure.

For doorbells and cameras, relevant considerations may include:

  • Wi-Fi signal strength;
  • Supported Wi-Fi frequency;
  • Power requirements;
  • Mounting surface;
  • Viewing angle;
  • Weather exposure; and
  • Application compatibility.

Contact us before ordering when you are uncertain about compatibility.

We remain responsible where compatibility information supplied by us is materially inaccurate or misleading.

Prices, Payments and Orders

Prices

Prices displayed on our website are shown in the currency selected or displayed for your location.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Product prices include UK VAT where applicable;
  • Delivery costs are shown separately where charged;
  • International duties and import charges are not included; and
  • The final amount payable is displayed before you confirm your order.

Currency conversions shown by your browser, payment provider or another third party may be approximate.

Your bank or payment provider may charge currency-conversion or international-transaction fees. Those charges are outside our control.

Pricing errors

We take reasonable care to display accurate prices. Occasionally, a pricing or product-information error may occur.

Where we discover an obvious error before accepting your order, we may contact you and offer the option to:

  • Continue at the correct price; or
  • Cancel the order for a full refund.

We will not knowingly rely on an obviously incorrect price.

Placing an order

To place an order, follow the checkout process and provide the requested information.

You will have an opportunity to review and correct your order before submitting it.

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected products. An automatic order-confirmation email acknowledges that we have received your order, but does not necessarily mean that it has been accepted.

Unless we state otherwise, a contract is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation.

Accepting or refusing orders

We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where, for example:

  • A product is unavailable;
  • Payment cannot be authorised;
  • The delivery address is incomplete or unsupported;
  • We identify suspected fraud or unlawful activity;
  • An obvious pricing or description error has occurred;
  • Delivery would breach sanctions, export controls or other laws; or
  • Purchase limits have been exceeded.

Where payment has already been taken for an order we cannot accept, we will refund the amount paid.

We will not cancel an accepted consumer order merely because we later decide that the agreed price was commercially inconvenient.

11. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the methods offered during checkout.

Your payment may be authorised or collected when the order is placed, depending on the payment method and checkout provider.

Payment services are operated by Shopify and supported payment providers. We do not directly receive or store your complete card details.

You are responsible for ensuring that payment and billing information is accurate and that sufficient funds are available.

Promotional codes and discounts

Promotional codes:

  • Must be entered before checkout is completed;
  • Cannot normally be applied retrospectively;
  • May be limited to specified products, customers or locations;
  • May have an expiry date;
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash; and
  • Cannot be combined unless expressly permitted.

We may withdraw or amend a promotion before an order is placed. Changes will not ordinarily affect a qualifying order that has already been accepted.

Discounts apply to the product price unless the promotion expressly includes delivery or other charges.

Delivery and International Orders

Delivery

We deliver to eligible destinations worldwide.

Available delivery options, costs and estimated times are displayed during checkout or explained in our Delivery & Shipping Policy.

Delivery estimates begin after dispatch and are not guaranteed unless we expressly agree to a guaranteed service.

Delays may occur because of:

  • Customs processing;
  • Carrier disruption;
  • Severe weather;
  • Public holidays;
  • Incorrect addresses;
  • Local restrictions; or
  • Events outside our reasonable control.

Unless a different delivery period has been agreed, UK consumer orders should normally be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made.

International delivery

International orders may be subject to:

  • Customs duties;
  • Import VAT or sales taxes;
  • Customs-clearance fees; and
  • Carrier handling charges.

Unless checkout expressly states that these charges are included, the recipient is responsible for paying them.

Customers are responsible for confirming that products can lawfully be imported, installed and used in their destination country.

We may be unable to deliver certain products to some countries because of carrier restrictions, sanctions, electrical standards, wireless regulations or local import rules.

Delivery addresses

You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address.

Contact us immediately if an address needs to be changed. We will try to make the change, but cannot guarantee that it will be possible after processing or dispatch has begun.

We are not responsible for delays caused solely by incomplete or incorrect information supplied by the customer. This does not affect our responsibility for mistakes made by us or by a carrier acting on our behalf.

16. Risk and ownership

Products remain our responsibility until they are delivered into the physical possession of you or a person you have identified to receive them.

Ownership passes to you once:

  • We have received payment in full; and
  • The product has been delivered.

Different rules may apply where you independently arrange a carrier that we did not offer.

Cancellations, Returns and Faulty Products

17. Cancelling an online order

UK consumers purchasing eligible products online normally have 14 days after receiving the products to tell the retailer that they wish to cancel. After notifying the retailer, they normally have a further 14 days to return them.

To cancel, contact us at Info@amrosecurity.co.uk and provide:

  • Your name;
  • Order number;
  • Products being cancelled; and
  • A clear statement that you wish to cancel.

You may also use the model cancellation notice in our Returns and Refunds Policy.

Cancellation exceptions may apply to products that are personalised, made to specification or otherwise legally excluded.

Returns and refunds

Returns are governed by our separate Returns and Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms.

For an eligible change-of-mind return:

  • You may inspect the product as reasonably permitted in a shop;
  • You must take reasonable care of the product;
  • You should return supplied accessories and components;
  • You are normally responsible for return postage; and
  • We may reduce a refund where excessive handling has unnecessarily reduced the product’s value.

Where the whole order is cancelled, we will refund the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, where legally required. Additional express-delivery costs are not normally refundable.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect products

Products supplied to UK consumers must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality;
  • Fit for their intended purpose; and
  • As described.

Contact us promptly if a product is:

  • Faulty;
  • Damaged on arrival;
  • Incomplete;
  • Incorrectly supplied; or
  • Materially different from its description.

We may request photographs, video or troubleshooting information to help assess the issue, but this does not remove your statutory rights.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, available remedies may include:

  • Refund;
  • Repair;
  • Replacement;
  • Price reduction; or
  • Final rejection of the product.

Installation, Security and Privacy

Installation

Installation is not included unless this is expressly stated on the relevant product page or confirmed in writing.

Products must be installed:

  • In accordance with the supplied instructions;
  • Using suitable tools and fixings;
  • In an appropriate location;
  • Without bypassing safety features; and
  • In accordance with applicable local requirements.

Where professional skills are reasonably required, we recommend using an appropriately competent installer.

If an independent installer is selected and paid by you, that installer is not our employee or agent unless we expressly confirm otherwise.

We are not responsible for damage caused solely by incorrect installation, unauthorised modification or failure to follow the supplied instructions. This does not exclude responsibility for defective products, inaccurate instructions or installation services arranged directly by us.

Security limitations

Smart locks, doorbells and cameras are intended to assist with access control and monitoring, but no security product can guarantee that theft, unauthorised access, damage or other incidents will never occur.

You should:

  • Keep physical backup keys secure;
  • Use strong, unique account passwords;
  • Install software and firmware updates;
  • Restrict account access to trusted individuals;
  • Review notification and privacy settings;
  • Replace or recharge batteries when warned; and
  • Maintain appropriate household security measures.

Do not rely solely on push notifications or internet-dependent features for emergencies.

Privacy and recording responsibilities

Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Customers using cameras, doorbells or recording features are responsible for using them lawfully.

Depending on the installation location and country, this may include considering:

  • Neighbours’ privacy;
  • Public or shared spaces;
  • Audio recording;
  • Visitor notices;
  • Data retention; and
  • Access to recorded footage.

We do not control how customers position or operate devices after purchase.

Website Use and Intellectual Property

Website availability

We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may temporarily suspend or restrict access for:

  • Maintenance;
  • Security updates;
  • Technical problems;
  • Platform changes; or
  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may update, remove or change website content without notice, provided that doing so does not improperly alter an existing customer contract.

Acceptable website use

You must not:

  • Use the website unlawfully or fraudulently;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access;
  • Introduce malware or harmful code;
  • Interfere with website operation;
  • Scrape or reproduce content without permission;
  • Place fraudulent orders;
  • Misuse promotional codes;
  • Submit false, threatening or abusive material; or
  • Infringe another person’s rights.

We may restrict access where we reasonably believe that the website is being misused.

Intellectual property

The website and its content—including branding, graphics, text, layouts, photographs and logos—are owned by or licensed to AMRO Security.

You may view and use the website for personal shopping and informational purposes.

You may not copy, distribute, modify, commercially exploit or create derivative material from our content without written permission, except where permitted by law.

Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Reviews and submitted content

Where you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content, you confirm that:

  • It is based on your genuine experience;
  • It is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
  • You have permission to submit it;
  • It does not infringe another person’s rights; andIt is not unlawful, abusive, discriminatory or misleading.

You give us permission to display and reproduce submitted content for operating and promoting AMRO Security, unless otherwise agreed.

We may remove content that breaches these requirements, but will not suppress a genuine negative review merely because it is critical.

Liability and Events Outside Our Control

Our responsibility to consumers

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • Breach of statutory consumer rights; or
  • Any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

For consumer purchases, we are not responsible for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption.

Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.

These may include:

  • Natural disasters;
  • Severe weather;
  • War or civil disturbance;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Industrial disputes;
  • Customs disruption;
  • Carrier network failures;
  • Cyberattacks;
  • Utility failures; or
  • Widespread telecommunications outages.

We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect and will contact affected customers where appropriate.

Your legal rights relating to serious delivery delays or non-performance remain unaffected.

Complaints, Changes and Transfers

Complaints

Contact us if you are dissatisfied with a product or service.

Please provide:

  • Your name;
  • Order number;
  • Description of the issue; and
  • The outcome you are seeking.

Contact details:

Email: Info@amrosecurity.co.uk
Telephone: +44 1322531145

We aim to acknowledge complaints within 1-2 working days and provide a substantive response within 7-14 working days.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect:

  • Legal or regulatory changes;
  • Changes to our products or services;
  • Payment or delivery changes;
  • Security requirements; or
  • Improvements to the website.

The terms applying to an order are generally those provided when the order was placed. Later changes will not normally alter an existing accepted order unless legally required or agreed with you.

Transfer of rights

We may transfer our rights and obligations under a contract to another organisation where this does not reduce your rights.

You may only transfer your rights or obligations with our written agreement, except where the law permits otherwise.

General Legal Provisions

Third-party rights

A person who is not a party to the contract has no right to enforce these terms, except where legislation expressly provides otherwise.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

No waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a right, this does not mean that the right has been waived.

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Consumers living in:

  • England or Wales may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales;
  • Scotland may bring proceedings in the Scottish courts; and
  • Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in the Northern Irish courts.

Customers outside the UK may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections in their country of residence. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable local law.
