The best door bell I've used. Very easy to fit. Battery lasts a long time. Video quality is amazing. App was easy to use. Picks up motion as well and night vision. Works with alexa for a chime and video previews.
We wanted to be able to see who was at the door and communicate with them if necessary. This unit replaced a mechanical doorbell. Set up was straightforward as the same wiring could be used, and due to it being able to connect to the existing bell a chime unit was not required (you need to change a setting in the app to use a mechanical door bell). The app is straightforward and it connects to an Echo Show so you can control it via Alexa. Our ring is connected to a wifi extender which is one room away from our hall and the connection has been good so far, though it is slightly concerning that the RSSI measure for wifi strength is -78 which is supposed to be poor. That being said we have had absolutely no problem connecting to it to check who is at the door and reviewing videos when the motion detector is set off. A useful feature is that you can set zones where the motion detection is switched off (motion zones) e.g. for the road outside your house so that every car going past does not set off the alert. You can also set up privacy zones so that activity in your neighbour's house does not get recorded. Pre-roll works really well, it is useful to be able to see what happened a few seconds before the motion sensor is set off. Overall I highly recommend.
I have been using this a while now, I am in a very dark area in a main street and it's come in handy more than once.
Pros.....
the video and sound are great as is that you can add the external ringer that you can take to a shed or add on a show which shows the video.
you can but an extra battery which I have done so I can just switch them right away without a break
Cons...
Mine came without a battery compartment screw so had to buy separately, they are supposed to come with them.
Every so often it will take a bit to get the wifi up or for it to show on a phone.
I would recommend.
Doorbell is great but the package was a bit damaged
I did'n install it yet, but I tested a little bit and it seems to be as in the description. It has some seconds delay, but it's ok.
